A little about us…
Oh the History...
Papa Baird’s has always been about community & family! You walk in these doors you become part of our family. Norma & Varr Baird opened up Norma Jeanne’s in Selah Wa 1981- 1984. They then bought Papa Baird’s Restaurant in Terrace Heights in 1985, owned & operated till March of 1988, then they sold it to their daughter Shawna Hahn. Shawna Hahn owned & operated till Oct 1st of 2019,
Then she sold to us, Her son Brandon Hahn & daughter in-law Jennifer Hahn. We have nearly 30 years of work combined together here.
We have literally grown up in this place, Brandon has been working since he was 14, probably younger he says. His passion for cooking & the restaurant world has always shown. He continues to use his Grandma & a former cook Jerry Ann’s soup & meatloaf recipes to date. There’s truly nothing like our homemade soups!
We are raising our family (4 kids) in the very community we grew up in. We jumped at the opportunity to purchase this restaurant to continue the family legacy of 3 generations. It meant so much to us.
We have lots of plans & updates to our restaurant & can’t wait to share them with you all. We make a killer team & will continue to work alongside together to keep this restaurant the heart of our community!
This place is pretty special- We are surrounded by a team we call family & together we are looking forward to the next 30+ years in this community!
